About 3.30pm, police engaged in the pursuit of a Holden sedan allegedly being driven by a 32-year-old man.
The pursuit was terminated due to safety concerns; however, the Polair crew continued to follow the vehicle until it hit a brick wall in a residential driveway in the suburb of Glenroy in Albury, shortyl before 6pm.
The driver allegedly ran from the vehicle but was arrested a short distance away.
A bag containing methamphetamine, $500 cash and multiple driver’s licences was recovered from the scene with a further $500 cash found when the man was searched.
The man was taken to Albury Police Station where he has been charged with three offences: Drive motor vehicle during disqualification period, goods in personal custody suspected being stolen, and use class A vehicle with unauthorised number plate affixed.
The man, from Glenroy, has been refused bail to appear in Wagga Wagga Local Court on Tuesday 5 January.
Police continue to investigate reports of other vehicles being hit during the operation; anyone wishing to report an incident should call Albury Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
