Wodonga City Council has voted by a narrow majority (4-3), to support circuses continuing to display exotic animals on council land.
Now circus companies like Lennon Bros that visited Gateway Island last year will have no trouble returning with performing lions and other exotic animals.
The debate arose in the middle of last year, that was followed by a motion to ban circuses on council land. It was later rescind, pending further advice.
