Adelaide move into a Prelim with six-goal win over GWS
Adelaide has booked a place in a Preliminary Final with a 36-point win.
Eddie Betts booted three goals and assisted two others in an influential attacking role.
Adelaide led into the main break 44 points up.
Matthew Richardson said the Crows showed more synergy as a team.
“They seem to play for each other, play their roles better, and they get better results,” Richo said.
“The Giants have outstanding talent but sometimes they all want to play the same sort of role. That can hold them back sometimes.”
GWS will play the winner of Port Adelaide v West Coast.
Adelaide assistant Scott Camporeale spoke to 3AW before the game.
He said the club gave star midfielder Rory Sloane “every opportunity” to play tonight despite having surgery on his appendix after Round 23.
“Nine days was probably a stretch,” Camporeale said.
“But I would be staggered if he didn’t play next week if we happen to lose next week.”
Sloane will now have that extra week to recover.
