Landholders in the Albury area will get a pleasant surprise with their Local Land Services Rates Notice this year.

In an effort to assist farmers in the Howlong, Corowa and Albury areas, the NSW government will issue waived rates notices from Local Land Services in 2019.

Thanks to the NSW Government drought relief package, rates notices will show the usual components, but amounts shown will not be payable.

The package includes $100 million for cutting the cost of farming fees and charges including the waiving of Local Land Services rates for 2019.

Member for Albury Greg Aplin says it should provide welcome relief for drought impacted landholders.
