The weather bureau are predicting thunderstorms in the North East right up to the weekend which has the CFA on high alert.
Wangaratta CFA Duty Officer Rod Railton says just because we have had cooler conditions, doesn't mean the fire risk has lessened.
He warns you should be very familiar by now with your bushfire plan in the event of any unwanted events.
“You should be monitoring the Vic Emergency App for updated information or free call the VicEmergency hotline on 1800 226 226,” he said.
Mr Railton also mentioned to be aware of the current smoke haze across the North East.
“We do have a smoke haze across the area at the moment and that will continue for a number of days due to the Tasmania and Gippsland fires,” he said.
