Two confirmed dead after XPT train derails
At least two people have died after the XPT train derailed just north of the Wallan Train Station.

At least two people have died after the XPT train derailed just north of the Wallan Train Station.
The CFA report that the train derailed just after 8pm 500 metres from Epping- Kilmore Road.
It is estimated around 160 passengers were on board heading to Southern Cross Station in Melbourne (scheduled for 6:30pm).
12 people are injured and it is believed that the two people that died were in the drivers' carriage.
All trains on the Seymour and Albury lines have been suspended.
